The Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 3 trailer offers the first major look at Disney’s upcoming four-part finale, teasing new magical challenges while bringing several familiar characters back into the story.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 3 trailer reunites familiar faces
One of the trailer’s biggest highlights is the return of Harper Finkle, played by Jennifer Stone, and Mason Greyback, played by Gregg Sulkin.
Their appearances add a strong dose of nostalgia to the final storyline, reconnecting the Disney revival with characters closely associated with Alex Russo’s earlier adventures.
Selena Gomez will also return as Alex Russo in multiple episodes. Gomez, who serves as an executive producer, is making her directorial debut with the premiere episode of the finale event.
What does the trailer reveal?
The story picks up after the events of Season 2, with Billie struggling with the disappearance of Alex.
According to Disney’s official synopsis, Billie discovers that rescuing her mother will require her to reunite with her long-lost father. As the Russo family comes together to search for Alex, Billie begins to understand that their combined magical abilities could be crucial to defeating the threat facing them.
The trailer consequently positions the finale around more than another magical confrontation. Family, identity and Billie’s relationship with her powers appear set to play major roles in the concluding story.
Billie’s father enters the story
The finale will introduce Damien Penwulf, Billie’s father, played by Brandon Micheal Hall.
Alongside returning stars Jennifer Stone and Gregg Sulkin, the guest cast includes Maria Canals-Barrera as Theresa Russo, Ramon Reed as Silas Evilini and Tobias Jelinek as Lord Morsus.
The main cast includes David Henrie as Justin Russo, Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo.
