What is a PIN Code in India?

India’s PIN Code system uses six digits to identify postal locations. The first digit represents a postal zone, the second identifies a sub-zone, the third indicates the sorting district, and the final three digits identify the individual post office.

How India’s 6-Digit PIN System Works

A PIN Code (Postal Index Number) is a six-digit code used by India Post to identify specific postal regions and post offices across India. It helps ensure mail and parcels are sorted and delivered to the correct destination
